Heart Health: How much time you walk every day can reduce the risk of heart disease, says a new study

The incidence of heart attack is increasing at a young age. Some of the factors behind it are unhealthy eating habits, uncontrolled lifestyle, and stress. Diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol increase the risk of heart disease.

Healthy eating and exercise is important to keep the heart healthy.  But in today's lifestyle many people do neither of these two.  A new study from Harvard University says that just a few minutes of walking can reduce the risk of heart disease.

But how long walking will reduce the risk of heart disease?  According to researchers, just 21 minutes of walking a day can reduce the risk of heart disease by about 30 percent.  A daily walk will reduce the risk of heart attack and premature death.

But while walking for 21 minutes, don't pay attention to any other direction.  Don't shake your phone while listening to music on headphones.  Then there will be no benefit.  Walking 21 minutes a day is about two and a half hours a week.  And in these two and a half hours, the risk of heart disease will decrease up to 30 percent.

Daily walking reduces the risk of many diseases like high blood pressure as well as diabetes, cholesterol.  Also increases memory and your life span.

However, to keep the heart healthy, besides walking, one should also pay attention to the diet.  Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.  Reduce the amount of processed, packaged foods.  Avoid drinking and smoking.
