 Dead bodies of Russian soldiers are lying in Liman

Dead bodies of Russian soldiers have been found in a town in eastern Ukraine.  Russian forces were forced to leave the city recently in the face of counterattacks by Ukrainian forces.  There has been a fierce conflict for several days.  However, the Ukrainian soldiers have removed the bodies of their comrades from the city, but the bodies of Russian soldiers are still lying there.  Al-Jazeera news.

The name of that city in Ukraine is Liman.  Liman is located in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, known as a hub for the supply and transportation of munitions of war.  Ukrainian troops seized the city a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the annexation of four Ukrainian regions, including Donetsk, into Russia.

 When Putin announced the annexation of four regions of Ukraine to Russia, Ukrainian forces surrounded the Russian forces at Liman.  In this situation, Russian forces retreated from the city last Saturday.  Re-establishing control over the city will now make it easier for Ukraine to attack Russian-held territory.

During fierce clashes between the Russian forces and the Ukrainian forces, the residents of Liman took refuge in underground shelters of various buildings. Now residents have started returning to their homes. On February 24, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine. Since May there has been no water, electricity or gas in Liman town.

"We are fighting for our motherland and our children, so that our people can live without fear," says a Ukrainian soldier fighting in Liman.
