A fan named Tor Silverstein made a sculpture of Arling Holland out of love for the beloved star. The sculpture, built for 11 thousand 840 US dollars, is installed in the city of Brine in Norway. Another Holland fan stole the sculpture in the dark of night. A crane had to be used to lift the 10 feet tall sculpture.
Norwegians love Holland, who joined English Premier League team Manchester United from German club Borussia Dortmund this season. Born in England, Holland's father's home is in Bryn. People there love Holland a little more. The sculpture of Holland was created out of love by Silverstein, but the people of Bryn did not like it.
The sculpture did not look good. Hence the objections of Bryn's Holland-fans ever since its installation. Fans called the sculpture 'ugly'. Silverstein recently arranged for the sculpture to be auctioned. It is for a noble purpose. He wanted to donate the proceeds from the auction to a hospital fund in Tanzania. But before the auction, the sculpture was stolen by another fan of Holland.
"I thought it would be good to create a sculpture to pay tribute to (Holland)," said Silverstein, the creator of the sculpture. But some called it too ugly.'' Whatever the sculpture looks like, Silverstein created it out of respect and love for the beloved star. Silverstein said to the British newspaper The Sun, "It's not that Arling is very good-looking." Whatever it is, I am very disappointed that the sculpture has been stolen.'
