Says Akram "No comparison between Kohli and Babar"

Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith and Kane Williamson.  For a long time, these four people are called the 'Fab Four' or the best four batsmen of world cricket.  For a few years, however, many people have been adding Babar Azam's name to them, not 'Fab Four', but saying 'Fab Five'.  Many people think that Babar has surpassed the other four in recent times.  A few days ago, commentator Simon Dull called Babar the 'Big One' ahead of the other four.

But among these four, Babar is most compared with Virat Kohli.  As one is from Pakistan and the other is from India.  And the India-Pakistan rivalry in cricket is eternal.  Kohli ruled the world cricket for almost a decade, compared to that Babar's experience is much less.  So Pakistan legend Wasim Akram doesn't like Babar's comparison with Kohli right now.

Babar is consistently playing well, his technique is also good.  He is hungry for runs, his fitness is good.  Babar is new as a captain, but he is learning fast.  But right now the comparison between Kohli and Babar is not right.

In an event with Ravi Shastri on Star Sports recently, Akram said, 'Comparisons (among players) are very natural.  When we played there were comparisons between Inzamam, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar.  Earlier comparisons were made between Sunil Gavaskar, Javed Miandad, Gundappa Vishwanath, Zaheer Abbas.  Babar is consistently playing well, his technique is also good.  He is hungry for runs, his fitness is good.  Babar is new as a captain, but he is learning fast.  But the comparison between Kohli and Babar is not right now.
