India expressed regret by firing missiles at Pakistan

 

Indian Army mistakenly fired a missile at Pakistan.  India has expressed regret after the incident last Wednesday.  India's Union Ministry of Defense has given this information in a statement.  The statement said the incident was "very unfortunate" due to a "technical error".  This information was confirmed in an online report of Indian media NDTV.

India has ordered a high-level investigation into the incident.  The statement released on Thursday said that a missile was accidentally fired due to a technical error during a routine exercise on March 9.  The Indian government has taken the incident seriously and ordered a high-level probe.

 It is said from the Indian side that they have come to know that the missile landed in an area of ​​Pakistan.  The incident is undoubtedly sad.  But it is a relief that there was no loss of life due to the accident.

In Pakistan's response to the incident, the missile flew more than 100 kilometers at an altitude of 40,000 feet within its airspace.  The missile did not explode as it had no warhead.

Pakistan's foreign office says it has summoned India's charge-of-affairs in Islamabad to protest the alleged violation of Pakistan's airspace.

 Pakistan has called for an investigation into the incident.  They say that passenger aircraft and civilian lives could have been endangered in this incident.
