An organization called X Notre Dame's Welfare Foundation (ENWF) provided free treatment to hundreds of helpless and poor patients suffering from rheumatism in Pagla Bazaar of Mymensingh city on Friday. At this time, patients are provided free of cost along with consultation and necessary medical equipment.
According to a notification of X Notre Dame's Welfare Foundation, ENWF today from 11 am to evening at Ward Councilor No. 24 office in Pagla Bazar area, poor patients suffering from rheumatism, neck and knee pain are being treated free of charge. During the treatment, hundreds of helpless and poor patients suffering from rheumatism gathered from the surrounding villages. During this time, ENWF volunteers provide free counseling and medical supplies to the patients. These medical aids include corsets for back pain, knee caps for knee pain, collars for neck pain, hot water bags and pain-relieving creams. A happy smile appeared on their faces after receiving this.
Some of the helpless patients said that they had been suffering from pain in their limbs for so long. They expressed their gratitude to the doctors by receiving treatment and medical supplies.
Speakers in the event said that thousands of people are suffering from rheumatism in rural areas of the country. If there is such treatment in urban areas, there is not much treatment in villages. Therefore, they thanked the founders of ENWF for giving free advice and medical supplies to such patients.
The officials of ENWF announced to continue this philanthropic program with the help of everyone from village to village.
