A two-year-old child died after being crushed under an iron door

 

'Even a day ago, my sons and daughters kept the house full of laughter.  Today my daughter is not in the world.  How can I live without him whom I have not hidden from my eyes for a moment!' Mother Koli Akhtar was lamenting while holding the coffin of her daughter Safira Akhtar (2).  The child died after being buried under the door of his house in Apel Ahmed Tech area of ​​Boyalkhali Upazila of Chittagong on Wednesday around 9:30 pm.

 The deceased Safira of that area.  Daughter of Rokon Uddin.  Safira's brother Safin (4) was injured in the same accident.  He is a student of Gausia Haque Bhandari Dakhil Madrasa in the area.

Safira's cousin Farhana Akhtar said the main door of their house was opened for repairs and propped against the wall.  Last night his father was entering the yard with a motorcycle.  At this time, while moving the iron door, it accidentally fell on Safira and Safin.  At that time, two brothers and sisters were seriously injured by being pressed under the door.  Later, the two were rushed to Boalkhali Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared Safira dead.  Meanwhile, Safin was transferred to Chittagong Medical College Hospital as he was seriously injured.

Boalkhali police station sub-inspector Mohammad Alamgir said the child died after being buried under the door at the entrance of the house.  However, there is no complaint from the family in this regard.  Therefore, in view of the request of the family of the deceased child, the body was handed over to the relatives last night without an autopsy.
