Putin has no regrets about the war

The exact cost of the war in Ukraine is not yet available.  The World Health Organization says more than 600 attacks have targeted health infrastructure in Ukraine.  However, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he had no regrets about the attack.

"I have no regrets," Putin said at a press conference in Kazakhstan on Friday. I want to make it clear, what is happening there now, is unpleasant. He also commented that the operation conducted in Ukraine was carried out correctly and on time.

After the Nord Stream pipeline explosion, Russia and Europe blamed each other. Europe has also started an investigation on this. Putin proposed to supply gas to Europe via Germany using the Nord Stream-2 pipeline. However, Berlin rejected it. In this context, Putin said that Germany is making a mistake by giving importance to NATO.

Leaders of several Asian countries attended a conference in Kazakhstan. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also attended this conference titled 'Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia'.

Putin criticized Western countries at a press conference after the conference on Friday.  In response to the question whether he will hold talks with US President Joe Biden on the Ukraine issue, Putin said, "He (Biden) should be asked whether he wants to hold talks with me or not."  "I don't see any reason to compromise with Biden now, as long as a platform is formed for it."
