The 43rd BCS technical or professional cadre subject wise written examination will start from next Monday in 8 divisional cities of the country. Public Service Commission (PSC) has issued important instructions for the candidates.
These instructions have been given in a circular signed by PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) Anand Kumar Biswas. The exam will start on Monday and will continue till Wednesday. A four-hour subject-wise examination will be held from 10 am to 2 pm every day.
Written test of Islamic Education and Arabic subject will be held only at Dhaka Center (PSC 71 Auditorium Hall). Examinations for other subjects will be conducted across the country. Average minimum pass marks in written examination is 50. If you get less than 30 marks in the written exam, it will not be added to the total marks.
According to the notification, books, watches, mobile phones, ornaments and any kind of devices are prohibited from entering the examination center during the written examination. The PSC has instructed the candidates not to bring prohibited materials to the examination hall on that day.
Instructions to be followed in the written examination
1. Books, watches, mobile phones, calculators, all types of electronic devices, any devices like bank/credit cards, jewellery, bracelets and bags are strictly prohibited in the examination centre. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall with prohibited materials.
2. Candidates have to enter the examination hall by checking their mobile phones, watches, electronic devices and other prohibited items with the help of metal detectors in the presence of executive magistrate and police at the gate of the examination center.
3. A text message will be sent to the mobile phone of the candidates not to bring the mentioned prohibited items on the day of the exam. Follow the instructions in the small message.
4. Candidates cannot cover their ears during the exam, they must keep their ears open. If it is necessary to use any kind of hearing aid in the ear, the approval of the commission must be taken in advance along with the consultation letter of the expert doctor.
If these prohibited materials are found in the examination hall, then the concerned candidate will be declared ineligible for all future PSC recruitment examinations along with cancellation of candidature.
1 thousand 814 officers will be taken in different cadres in this BCS. Out of this, 300 people will be appointed in administration cadre, 100 in police cadre, 25 in foreign affairs cadre, 843 in education cadre, 35 in audit, 22 in information, 19 in tax, 14 in customs and 19 in cooperatives.
